The Safari Sportsman Kit

Introducing Russell Built’s newest offering to the Porsche 911 Off Road market the Safari Sportsman kit for Porsche 964 models. This purpose built package is based around our race proven NORRA Baja 500 class winning off road suspension that has been engineered new from the ground up to withstand the most brutal off road terrain all while reversing the negative geometry characteristics experienced when lifting a 911.  With 10” of wheel travel, 2” of lengthened wheelbase, raised ground clearance and a widened track width this kit was specifically designed to soak up heavy off road abuse while still retaining a plush, responsive and sporty feel expected from a daily driven Porsche 911. 

Take this one of a kind industry leading suspension package and dress it up with the hips and curves of the iconic wide body TURBO 964 and you have what we call our Safari Sportsman kit. 

Offered as a base package or with an “a-la-carte” inspired list of accessories and options gives the customer the opportunity to enter the Off-road Porsche world and slowly build up their vehicle as they see fit based on desire and or budget.

This Sportsman kit is completely bolt on requiring little to no fabrication and minimal trimming to the factory body leaving the option of returning the car back to stock form if ever desired.

BUMPER MOUNTED FOG LIGHTS
2 Baja Designs Squadron fog lights housed in our exclusive “turbo cooler duct” housing.
CARBON ROOF RACK
Low profile, lightweight carbon clam shell with quick connect tie downs and billet mounting clamps.
ROLL HOOP/ STORAGE BOX.
Bolt in 4 point roll hoop with 2 “X” braces and rear seat delete storage box.
Optional harness bar.
Powder coated and upholstered to match interior leather and color.
OIL COOLER/AC CONDENSER UPGADE
Relocates new double capacity coolers from front corners into the front trunk area. Replaces the front sheet metal nose for increased approach angle while venting hot air through the hood.
STRUT BRACE AND ACCESSORY CARRIER
This combo holds and stores 2 recovery ramps, tow strap and a large capacity scissor jack neatly in the front trunk.
TRANSMISSION UPGRADE
STAGE 1 – rebuild, differential upgrade, ring and pinion, seals, inspection.
STAGE 2 – main shaft upgrade, close ratio gear sets, steel syncros, ring and pinion, differential upgrade.
ONBOARD AIR COMPRESSOR
